Situated in Low Fell, Gateshead, Wesley Memorial is a lively Methodist Church. We meet for worship at 10:30am every Sunday alongside our Younger Church, as well as providing facilities to bring the community together.

We are now in the season of Lent when we think of Jesus being led into the wilderness. He was tempted there to go away from the work God wanted him to do. He was tempted by the attraction of power, of wealth and honour. This was time he spent strengthening himself for his future work: for his preaching, healing ,concern for people – work which would lead him to death on a cross. He needed this time to deepen the choices he had already made. He was led by he Sprit; God wanted him there.

Lent is a time to ask questions about our own faith or lack of it, to study the Bible and to share our joys and concerns. To help us do this at the Gathering at Sheriff Hill Methodist Church on Tuesday afternoons at 2pm we will explore the Book of Revelation . The Methodist Church has produced the study guide for Bible Month this year covering 30days. We will look at the Book of Revelation over 5 Tuesday afternoons starting on the 28th February.

Please come along and be challenged and inspired. I look forward to seeing you.

God Bless
