Thursday morning Communion

  • Wesley Memorial Methodist Church Wesley Memorial Methodist Church (map)

Jesus wanted to leave a sign of his presence among us. He told us that whenever his friends meet and break bread- a human sign of companionship and fellowship – he would be present. The reason he chose bread is its simplicity and its homeliness. It is the work of human hands, an essential of life. He chose it also because it represents the fact that his body was broken for us, his whole life was poured out for us.

The breaking of bread that happens every first Thursday of the month at 9.30am is a sign of God`s presence with us, and also a challenge to us to share our lives with God`s people.

Please come along for the service in the Upper Hall which normally lasts for about 30 minutes and then enjoy a cup of tea and coffee afterwards.

The dates for the services are;

5th March at 9.30am

2nd April at 9.30am

7th May at 9.30am

4th June at 9.30am

2nd July at 9.30am
