July: Thoughts from Huw
Dear Friends
In our `Church Growth` meetings we have discussed different styles of worship and recently we gathered in the Main Hall for an act of worship. Feedback from the service will be discussed at our next Church Council meeting. Our worship of God is central to our existence as Christians. We need the fellowship and support of each other as we gather together in God`s name. Worship is a corporate act and common offering in which we all contribute - congregation, worship leader and preacher. Each one of us needs to come prepared and ready to enter God`s presence, offering God our love and praise with expectant hearts. God will bless us!
A church which is fully committed to worship will be united in their love of God and a desire to work for God and His people in the community. So, as we get together for all the opportunities to worship at Wesley, not just on Sunday but during the week, may we be fully aware of God`s presence in our lives and united in our common purpose to love and serve the Lord.
Our next Cluster service at Wesley is on Sunday 14th July at 6pm when we are being joined by friends from my former appointment in the Middlesbrough and Eston Circuit. Please come along and let us worship God united together and singing His praises!
With good wishes
